One of the team took a trip to Newcastle for a wellbeing conference. There are many similarities between the two cities. They even have a double decker bridge! The banks of the river are less accessible to those exercising but they do have an outdoor gym, beach and tables and chairs.
During the second visit the team invited members of the local community to begin to tell them what they would like to see on the river front. More of these workshops will be held in the future, if you are interested in taking part please contact us.
The team also visited Belfast to see how they are using the river and banks and they took the train through Coleraine (Voted one of the worlds best railway journeys!)
The teams first trip to the city, meeting with the stakeholder team and spending time on and around The River Foyle.
